Every fandom needs a gender-reversing pirate AU. It's, like, a law or something. For Battlestar Galactica, queenofthorns and meyerlemon have stepped up to the plate and it is OMG SO WRONG. I am speechless with speechlessness, and also giggling like crazy. I think the thing that kills me the most is their loving attention to period detail.

Summer has arrived in San Francisco, which means that it's really cold and foggy. D. and I took the dog to the beach yesterday; we wore heavy jackets and sweaters and didn't get too cold, and the dog played fetch with all and sundry.
